Northern Meadows Market Report January 2013

The market in Northern Meadows has been fairly consistent over the last 15 months. Sold homes have fluctuated between 88 and 123 in the Rio Rancho Central region where Northern Meadows is located. The average price per square foot has also stayed with in a small range of $73 to $82 per square foot. The good news is the average days on market has dropped from a high of 163 days in November 2011 to 63 days in December 2012. HP, a major employer in the Rio Rancho area and located near Northern Meadows, announced recently they will be moving 200 jobs out of the state. It is too soon to tell how this will affect the housing market in Northern Meadows but it will have an impact. This will be a major issue to watch in the next couple of months.
